"You think... I enjoy this...?"
Name: Lebreau Fermet Viralesque, or simply Fermet.
Age: Mid-twenties, in appearance. In actuality, about three hundred.
Character type: Canon villain.
**WARNING**
Fermet can and will use and twist characters for his amusement or other personal use if he ever feels the need. I will always check with a writer first and foremost to ask if this is alright during or before a roleplay, however. Ask or tell me if this is something you specifically want.
***
Appearance: Fermet has an average build as well as height, being approximately 5'11" and 150-ish pounds. His light-brown hair nearly reaches his shoulders, and he possesses thick bangs that completely cover his eyes. This is the only outwardly striking feature about the man.
Fermet resembles a young man, around twenty five years old. He commonly wears semi-formal to semi-casual clothing, his overall look sharp, yet unassuming.
Personality: Outward- Fermet is seen as a kind person, though to a point where it almost seems as if he's a giant pushover. He is polite, never forgetting his manners. Calm and controlled, he generally possesses a sweet disposition to any given person. He's very humble, jokingly berating himself at times in ways that expose his humility.
Personality: Inward- Fermet's wrap for being kind and compassionate hides something dangerous and dastardly. He will lie, cheat, steal and worse for his own entertainment. To Fermet, the entire world is made to bend at his will. He orchestrates his wishes and wills unto others from his place on the sidelines, watching as people, relationships, communities and more crumble to his liking without having to do much of anything at all. A whispered word here or there, a well placed action, and the deed is done; once trapped in his grasp, wrapped around his pinky finger, there is little to no hope at all. One would wonder if he really had the capacity for any human emotion whatsoever. He vicariously feeds on destruction, damnation, and helplessness.
Story: Fermet's story begins in the early 1700s. He is an alchemist, seeking the secret of immortality, when his teacher meets a rather unusual demise. Fermet himself has been implicitly indicated as the culprit. He becomes the guardian of the man's grandson, Czeslaw Meyer. From then on, he twists and weaves the fates of those around him to his own liking. His actions eventually lead to the abandonment of the city of Lotto Valentino, where he'd been living with Czeslaw at the time. It is on the Advenna Avis, the ship many of the other townspeople had used to escape, that he and all others aboard become immortals. Fermet then proceeds to live out his newly immortal life destroying his fellow immortals indirectly and "experimenting" on Czeslaw until the poor boy had finally managed to escape his clutches. Even the escape, however, had seemed to have been part of Fermet's original design. He has seemingly managed to escape his own destruction to this day.
Fun facts! (not really but still)
- Fermet has been called an "audience member" because of the ways he controls the actions of those around him without ever truly becoming involved.
- Fermet is infuriated by those who somehow manage to defy the destruction placed upon them by him.
- Among immortals, a rule is shared; an immortal can never physically use a false name in the presence of another. Fermet has found a way to bypass this rule, going by many different names.
- Readers of the light novels have been informed that Fermet seemed too nice to have properly raised a child.
- Many of the horrible things that occur in his series were indirectly/directly caused by him.
